Learning at Woodcrest

We consider ourselves fortunate to have a large farm with lots of animals to spend time with and gardens to learn about, acres of woods and creeks to explore, and friendly people to meet and learn from. It’s wonderful to have this alternative learning space for our kids and family, and we hope your families enjoy their time here just as much as we do.

Homeschool Classes

Spring 2025

Youth Farm Camp

Ages 6 - 11

In this program children will explore their relationship to the natural world, their food and home, and what it means to be an individual in a community. Campers will be farmers through hands-on care of animals and gardening, with space in each session’s curriculum to play, have unstructured exploration in our creek and woods, and to bring in the more specific interests of the campers. We utilize the natural invitations of the farm and its surroundings to facilitate creativity, wonder, and self reflection. Our experienced farm educators will lead campers through many of the daily operations at the farm, with a focus on sustainable practices and natural systems.
